Whole Body Red Light Therapy

The healing power of natural light for cellular rejuvenation

Red Light Therapy is based on the proven, FDA approved, science called Photobiomodulation (PMB). PMB is the study of how different colors and nanometers of light affect the human body. Both of our Joovv® and MITO® Red Light Therapy rooms use a combination of Red and Near Infrared (NIR) light, scientifically proven to produce cellular rejuvenation. The Red light affects the surface of the skin. When the skin absorbs the red light, collagen and fibroblasts are stimulated and grow which repairs existing damage and increases the skin’s ability to protect against future damage. Regular use aids in the healing and appearance of surface imperfections. Regular exposure also diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, improvements in skin tone and even a reverse in skin damage. We have seen improvements in acne, Psoriasis, Rosacea, age spots, skin tags and discolored pigmentation. We suggest a thin layer of WILD ICE® Cryo-C Serum to your face and neck before a Red Light session for exponential results. Near Infrared Light penetrates the tissue to the mitochondrial level to increase blood flow and oxygen and activate intracellular signaling pathways. Routine exposure increases ATP energy and protein synthesis and enhances cell cycle progression to provides healthier cellular function. Regular exposure to NIR stops cytokine production to eliminate inflammation associated with joint pain, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Fibromyalgia. Studies also show a reduction in the lethargy and weakness associated with Hypothyroidism and even a reverse of effects of the illness, and up to a 33% increase in testosterone in men. Additional benefits include the reduction in wound healing and infection, increased sleep and mood.

How long is the session? Sessions are set at 10 minutes. Based on the science, you can complete a full body session twice at day up to 10 minutes. Many of our clients also purchase the portable model for home use to supplement whole body sessions.  When addressing skin conditions, we suggest a thin layer of WILD ICE® Cryo-C Serum prior to your session.

What happens in the session?  We offer goggles for eye protection. We also note that the light can only address what it can see; therefore we suggest stripping down to a level of comfort with the most skin exposure. For men, we suggest going "Full Monty" in order to gain the added benefit of testosterone boost. It's as simple as pressing play to start the 10 minute session. The lights go off automatically. We do ask that clients not use cell phones in the room as the sound resonates through the center.

Does it hurt? No. The original Joovv® Red Light Therapy Room does not emit any heat. The new MITO® Red Light Therapy does have a bit of warmth.

What do I do after the treatment?: For skin care concerns, we suggest cold exposure in the whole body cryotherapy chamber and/or the localized cryotherapy on the face along with WILD ICE® cold-kept skin care. For muscle pain management, enjoy the entire wellness circuit or the Cocoon Fitness Pod.

How often do I need to come for multiple treatments?: Like cryotherapy, the science of red light therapy proves it takes multiple sessions for full cellular turnover. Studies average 21 visits. Our clients report 4-6. If you are looking to manage pain, disease or skin care, we suggest starting with a one or two week pass to maximize visits and create the compound interest. After that, you can decide which maintenance program works best for you. We also offer a Red Light Therapy membership.
